Camp was a definite highlight in my childhood! Once I graduated high school, I knew I enjoyed working with children and computers. Looking for direction, I headed to Prairie Bible College with the idea that I would like to be a part of Camp Ministry. Through a fellow student at Prairie, I met my husband, Cam, and we married in the summer of 1991. While at Prairie, I also discovered my love of graphic design. As Cam and I raised our family of two boys (Colby & Liam), it never quite worked out for us to be in full-time ministry. Instead, I worked as a graphic designer, and I volunteered with children as much as possible: from teaching Sunday School, being an AWANA leader, helping in Vacation Bible School, volunteering at my sons’ school, helping in Junior Youth Group, and even writing curriculum for Little Fish (my church’s Sunday School class for ages 3-5). It was also a priority for our boys to go to camp every summer for as long as they were old enough.

When we moved to Forest Grove a few years back, I sat up and took note of the Lake of the Trees Bible Camp signs in my neighbourhood. A Bible Camp in my backyard?!!! In the summer of 2024, I became Kaleidoscope the Craft Lady and taught crafts twice a week for all of the kids’ camps. Now, I am super excited about the opportunity to be an Office Administrator at LOTT and year-round missionary with One Hope Canada!
