Julie’s response to the camp speaker’s invitation was a 180 degree turn from when she first arrived at camp. She had a difficult time: tantrums, trouble sleeping, and lots of big emotions. However, as leaders connected and gave one-on-one support, Julie’s attitude began to soften.

During chapel one night, the speaker shared the salvation message, using the illustration of Jesus “knocking on the door of our hearts”. With joy and excitement, Julie responded to the Gospel message. Her leader later shared that it was one of the most genuine expressions of faith they’d ever seen.
